There are problems with the mining of the fossil fuels, too. In the process of mining and using fossil fuels, we destroy ecosystems. If there were a way we could mine and use fossil in ways that do not damage our ecology, then there wouldn’t have been a problem.

In the world we live in, the perfection of neutrality and purity is the essence of its beauty. Unfortunately, fossil fuel mining, exploration and production of oil has caused harm to our environment that is irreparable.

Certainly, fossil fuels have provided a valuable service to us and it is not a problem that we use fossil fuels for our needs but it is the side effects of using them such as release of greenhouse gases and rise of the average temperature of Earth. This has impacted on our environment extensively – increased temperatures are causing ice to melt, which will result in increased sea level and this in turn can hinder processes such as agriculture, fishing, etc. Moreover, the use of fossil fuel has also caused increase in air pollution, which has resulted in abasement of human and plant growth.

Water and Wind Energy

Water and wind are perfect alternative energy sources. They are cheap,simple, non-polluting and efficient. Alternative energy sources produce no carbon dioxide that is a great help in cutting down on greenhouse emission. These other ways of getting energy decreases our dependency on fossil fuels that are limited for our use. Renewable energy sources use the mechanical power of water and wind and convert it into electricity. There’re enough renewable energy sources in the world that can fulfill our energy needs. There is a challenge though, which is to formulate the power to economically and effectively obtain, store and use the energy.

While the world’s population is growing fast, the energy demands are increasing fast, too. Because the fossil fuel is going to finish one day and soon, it has become very important for the renewable energy suppliers to keep increasing the production day by day. BP is one of the world’s biggest oil companies and it is among the pioneers that provide solar energy. BP Solar division is their initiative, created to develop and supply renewable energy solutions and it is progressing fast to meet the future energy demands.
